"Can you step up to the
challenge?"
Do you think you have what it takes to be a Praetorian? Praetorian is
one of four elite-designated squadrons in the Emperor's Hammer, and as
such is open by invitation only. However, we are always looking for the
best, most motivated members of the TIE Corps to join our ranks.
The following are the established minimum criteria for membership in
Praetorian:
- High level of activity in current assignment
- Rank of Commander or above
- Ranked as Legionaire or higher in the Fleet Commander's Honor
Guard (FCHG)
- No major HCI convictions
If you feel that you may require a waiver for one of these
conditions, please contact the Squadron Commander.
Praetorian Trials
If deemed worthy by the Squadron Commander, a pilot may be accepted
as a Praetorian candidate and enter the Praetorian Trials. The
Praetorian Trials consist of four phases. Once a candidate passes one he
automatically advances to the next. Should he fail in any of them the
trial is over at once.
Phase I: Tribunal Praetorianum
The candidate is presented
to the squad and all pilots are allowed to have their say about him or
her. Since Praetorian is a brotherhood in arms it is critical that all
members have their chance to voice their opinion about a candidate.
Phase II: Magister Artium
The candidate must take the
Praetorian Course in the Academy of Tactics and pass it with at least
the level of Destinction.
Phase III: Aquilae Victoriae
The candidate has to fly at
least 2 out of three presented missions, one of each platform. The
candidate will be judged using a basline score established by current
Praetorians.
Phase IV: Mandatus Obscurus
A special secret task will be
given to the candidate, tailored and personalized towards his special
abilities. This can include fiction, GFX, mission creation or what ever
else is deemed fitting for the candidate.
Candidates that successfully pass all four phases will be inducted
into the ranks of the Praetorian Brotherhood. Their status will remain
probationary for three months at which time they will face review by the
Praetorian Tribunal. At this point, they may be accepted into the
Brotherhood as Paratus (an established member), or asked to leave if
they have failed to uphold the standards of Praetorian Squadron.
