| With the creation of the elite squadron of
Praetorian, personal guard and special operations squad for the
Supreme Director of Intelligence Division, the Fleet Commander
commisioned the research and development for Praetorian to have a
special custom built fighter to suit it's more unorthidox role. So
Imperial Navy craft engineers began work on a new high
stealth/space superiorty fighter, named the TIE Praetor. It was
based upon the TIE Advanced chasis, but only cosmeticly. Along
with the standard armerment of four laser cannons, an additional
two ion weapons were added. Other improvements include a upgraded
and classified power system, a classified new technology allowing
for better space flight manuveability, and other new classified
technolgies that help the TIE Praetor gain the initive and
advantage in battle. So many of the new systems on the TIE Praetor
are classified due to the fact that it is a secretive squadron
ment to conduct work in the shadows, and thus if information on
the specifications of the TIE Praetor's new sensitive devices were
leaked into enemy hands, they could possibly find and exploit some
great hidden weakness. |
